Cambodia Gambling Dens

There is an appealing story to the Cambodia casinos that lie just across the border from next door Thailand, where gambling den wagering is not permitted. Eight gambling halls are situated in a generally small space in the municipality of Poipet in Cambodia. This collection of Cambodia gambling halls is in an excellent area, a 3 to four hour travel from Bangkok and Macao, the two biggest gambling centers in Asia. Cambodia gambling halls do a thriving business with Thai blue-collar workers and visitors from Malaysia, Japan, South Korea, and Singapore, with only very few Westerners. The astonishing income acquired from the gambling dens ranges from seven and a half million dollars to more than twelve and a half million dollars, and there are a number of limitations constraints for gambling hall ownership. Ownership is presumed to be mostly Thai; however, investment sources are vague. The borders are formally open from 0900 to 1700, and despite the fact visas are allegedly necessary to cross, there are methods and means around this, as is accurate of most borders.

The original Cambodia casinos opened in Phnom Penh in 1994, but were required to close in the late nineties, leaving just a single casino in the capital, the Naga Resort. The Naga, a moored ship casino, highlights 150 slot machines and sixty tables. The Naga river boat never closes with 42 tables of mini-punto banco, 4 tables of 21, 10 of roulette, 2 of Caribbean Stud Poker, and a single table each of Pai-Gow and Tai-Sai.

The original gambling den in Poipet, the Holiday Palace, opened in the late nineties and the Golden Crown soon opened. There are 150 one armed bandits and five tables at the Golden Crown and one hundred and four slot machine games and sixty eight tables at the Holiday Palace. The latest Holiday Palace Casino and Resort features 300 slot machines and 70 tables and the Princess Hotel and Casino, also in Poipet, has 166 slots and 96 gaming tables, including 87 punto banco (the most dominant game), Fan Tan, and Pai Gow. In addition, there is the Casino Tropicana, with 135 one armed bandits and 66 of the common table games, as well as 1 table of Casino Stud Poker. An additional of the eight gambling dens in Poipet, again in a hotel, is the Princess Casino with 166 slot machines and ninety seven casino games. The Star Vegas Casino is is located in a multinational vacation and hotel complex that features a number of luxuries on top of the gambling den, which has ten thousand sq.ft. of one hundred and thirty slots and eighty eight gaming tables.
